🚴♂️ I enjoyed my commute back from work.
But less so the easy recovery run afterwards. It felt like exercising in a sauna (while it's not that hot yet) 🥵
Same distance, not the same feeling...
📷 141/365 - Not the right season

📷 138/365 - Local running event. Excellent location and course.
🚴♂ Bike ride in good company.

I recently ran the 20k of Brussels, one of Belgium’s most iconic and popular running events. This year, more than 40k runners lined up at the start. The fact that it has become so popular also has its issues. There aren't enough spots for all those who want to participate. So while in the past you had time to decide whether you'd register, this year, you had to be in front of a device when registrations opened. Just like popular festivals, you need to wait in a queue (with several devices to increase chances) and hope you get lucky to get in to register. Two friends and I were, but another friend was still in the queue when registrations closed.
👨🔬 How peculiar. My children had the opportunity to play/watch on their iPad, yet they chose to watch Nerdland, a show doing all sorts of science experiments.
So happy to see this in the age of unlimited doomscrolling/watching.

📱 Showoff - Turn your run, ride, or walk into a shareable photo card. Pulls from Apple Health or Strava, no fuss.
Beautiful story of your adventure without showing off.
🏃♂️ Trying new routes always adds an adventurous element. And the continuous rain made it even more of a challenge.
Luckily I could go slow during this recovery run.
Another 3 weeks in rewind, this time published on Pagecord. While I still love Bear, Pagecord is winning me over with its simplicity and convenience, allowing me to write drafts in Obsidian or Drafts and publishing directly onto this blog. I've been experimenting with Pagecord for more than 6 months via microblogging and snapshots. And as I kept it low friction it freed me of a publisher block that I forced upon myself for Bear publishing only something with a meaning.
